Possession of Drugs
Drug charges can have an immediate impact in your life and can cause serious consequences. A drug conviction can prevent a person from being eligible to receive financial aid for college. Not having access to student loans can destroy a person’s access to higher education which will ultimately affect their dreams and goals.

At Mark Galler Law, LLC, we have experience in defending people facing both misdemeanor and felony drug charges related to:
-
Cocaine
-
Heroin
-
Marijuana
-
Methamphetamines
-
Prescription drugs (Xanax, OxyContin, Oxycodone, etc.)

Motion to Suppress Evidence

Every citizen of the United States has a constitutional right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures. This means that the police are required to follow certain protocols and procedures when they want to conduct a search of a person, vehicle, or house. When we are hired to represent someone facing drug charges, we go on the offense and fight against unreasonable and improper stops and searches. To do this we file a Motion to Suppress Evidence which attacks the officer’s actions if the officer failed to conduct his search in accordance with your constitutional rights. Did the officer find drugs in your vehicle after making an illegal traffic stop that was not supported by sufficient cause? Was a search warrant issued without probable cause? We can seek to have evidence suppressed (thrown out) if it was obtained in violation of your constitutional rights. We go on the offensive against the state and we do not let up.

Manufacturing/Delivery of Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

If you are facing charges of Manufacturing/Delivery of Drugs in addition to drug charges, this could greatly increase the severity of the case. Typically, Manufacturing/Delivery of Drugs allows the state to prosecute an individual under more harsh statutes that ask for greater penalties and jail time. It is important that you protect your future and to know your rights. We are here to help.

Even if the state has a strong case and you do not wish to fight your charges at trial, there are ways that we can help. We may be able to reach an agreement with the state that will help you avoid a criminal conviction, plead to a lesser offense or significantly minimize any penalties arising from your charges.
